This picture of girl holding placard is FAKE; here’s the fact check

Date:

A picture of a girl holding a placard has surfaced on the internet which is slamming the government for discriminating on the basis of caste.

The text on the placard read:

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above picture and found it to be FAKE.

On putting the above picture Reverse Image Search, we found the original picture in which the placard had an entirely different text.

The actual text read: “If a girl is in love, it’s natural and it does not make her characterless.”

In the above FAKE vs REAL collage, it is very clear that a black tile with text on it has been placed on the original picture. On observing closely, we can see that girl’s fingers are overlapped by the black tile whereas, in the original picture on the right, her fingers are visible.

Hence the viral picture is FAKE.
