‘Jumanji: The Next Level’: Trailer out featuring new adventures in jungle

Date:

Sony has released the first trailer of the upcoming American fantasy adventure comedy film ‘Jumanji: The Next Level’.

The film is a direct sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, which revived the Jumanji franchise in 2017 and turned out to be Sony’s highest- grossing domestic release of all time.

Jumanji is known for delivering big and complicated action scenes, while messing around with Jumanji’s video game mechanics.

In the trailer, Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and Jack Black head back to the jungle only to find that the virtual world situated inside a video game has changed since the last time they were there.

The trailer provides a glimpse at the newly- uncovered adventures in the jungle.

The body-swaping element, where people from the real world play in-game avatars in Jumanji Next Level keeps thing fresh by changing which characters end up in which avatars.

The twist in the sequel is that the grandfathers, played by Danny DeVito and Danny Glover, of two of the original players, get transported into the world of Jumanji as Johnson and Hart.

Penned by Scott Rosenberg and Jake Kasdan, the film is directed by Jeff Pinker. The film will premiere on December 13.
