Date:

A picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has surfaced on the internet in which he can be seen holding a portrait of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and the text on the picture read that “he is the only one in the country who can resolve all the problems”.

Text in Hindi read: “देश में यही है जो सारी समस्याओं को आसानी से निपटा सकता है”

FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile fact-checked the above picture, we found it to be FAKE.

On putting the picture through Reverse Image Search, we found the original picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on PIB’s official website in which he is not holding the portrait of Ram Rahim Singh rater he holding a frame of gold coins.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi launches the Gold schemes, in New Delhi on November 05, 2015.
The Union Minister for Finance, Corporate Affairs and Information & Broadcasting, Shri Arun Jaitley and Minister of State for Commerce & Industry (Independent Charge), Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman are also seen.

As it can be seen the original picture, Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with then Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Nirmala Sitharaman were inaugurating the Gold schemes in New Delhi on November 5th, 2015.

It is clear in the above FAKE vs REAL collage that the real picture was manipulated using Photoshop software.
