Days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Guruvayur Temple in Kerala, a picture is being widely shared on social media in which it is claimed that he was wearing footwear inside the temple which is considered as disrespecting god.

When NewsMobile fact-checked the above post, we found it to be misleading.

We looked for more picture from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the temple we found that the above picture was taken outside the temple and PM Modi had taken off his slippers when he entered the temple.

In the above pictures posted on PM Modi’s verified Facebook page, it is clearly seen that PM Modi was not wearing footwear inside the temple.
