FACT CHECK

When the fact check team at NewsMobile did a fact check, we found that the claim is FAKE.

While the video is genuine, it is an old video.

On putting the keyphase ‘Farooq Abdullah Bharat Mata ki Jai’ on YouTube, we found the original video on Rajya Sabha TV from where the above video was clipped out.

The 6-minute video was posted on August 20th, 2018 when Farooq Abdullah addressed a prayer meeting to mourn the death of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The description of the video read: “National Conference’s Farooq Abdullah addressed an prayer meeting to mourn the death of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The prayer meet was held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium on Aug 20, 2018.”

The viral clip can be seen in the video from – 5:34- 6:19.

On the contrary, Amit Shah was appointed as the Union Home Minister on May 31st, 2019.

Hence, it proves that the claim attached to the video is fake.
