Fact Checked: Don’t believe this statement by UP CM Yogi Adityanath

A picture post is making rounds on social media in which a quote is attributed to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath saying that ‘if anyone is seen waving the flag of another country in Uttar Pradesh, then the skins of that person will be hoisted’.

The text in Hindi read: “उत्तर प्रदेश में भारत आलावा किसी और देश का झंडा लहराते कोई पाया गया तो उसकी खाल लहरा दी जाएगी,” योगी आदित्यनाथ

FACT CHECK

Team of fact-checker at NewMobile checked the above post and found it to be FAKE.

When we put the text on Google, we couldn’t find any related to what has been claimed to be said by the UP Chief Minister.  There are no media reports on the above statement used by Yogi Adityanath.

We further scanned through his (Yogi Adityanath) verified social media handles and there also he hasn’t posted anything close to the above statement.

Hence, the above post about Yogi Adityanath is false.
