2019 MINI JCW launched in India with initial price tag of Rs 43.5 lakh

BMW Group in India has a lot in line for 2019 and the latest comes from the MINI with the launch of the 2019 Mini John Cooper Works has been launched in the country. It is priced at Rs 43.5 lakh (ex-showroom India).

One of the most adored hatchbacks of the country takes the CBU route into the country. Mini had brought the JCW Pro Edition in 2017 and was limited to a unit count of just 20. This is the facelifted version of the car which has been launched in international markets already.

The high-performance Mini houses a 2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine under its hood, producing 228 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. It is capable of doing a 0-100 kmph sprint in 6.1 seconds and it is offered in the Indian market with the eight-speed sports steptronic automatic transmission. The six-speed manual however, which is available in the international markets does not make its way here.

Mini has made revisions to the chassis, sport brake system and there’s a proper mechanical limited-slip differential. The Mini John Cooper Works even gets uprated springs and dampers and lightened suspension. There are new anti-roll bars, lightweight support bearings and triple-path strut mounts. There are also Sport, Comfort and Efficiency modes to configure your drive as want it.

The lovely hatchback will take on the likes of the Polo GTI in the Indian markets, which is cheaper than the Mini JCW.
