Have PM Modi and Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot formed an alliance? Here’s the truth

Date:

A picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot is being circulated on social media.

The caption along with the picture claims that the two formed an alliance as Ashok Gehlot was unhappy after Rahul Gandhi was named the Congress party president.

FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile fact-checked the claim, we found out that it is fake.

On putting the image through Reverse Image Search, we found out that the picture was taken in February 2019.

The Prime Minister Office tweeted this picture from their official handle on February 5, 2019.

The caption of the picture read, ” The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri @ashokgehlot51 met PM @narendramodi. “

Moreover,  Ashok Gehlot can still be seen promoting Congress Party and accompanying Congress President Rahul Gandhi to rallies in Rajasthan.

Also, when we looked for the same on Google, we did not find any reports to verify or supports the claim.

The above information proves that the claim in the post is not true.
