Impossible to make PM Modi speak truth, says Sidhu

Date:

Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress leader and Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday said that it is impossible to make Modi speak the truth.

Addressing a rally in Bhopal, he said, “Macchar ko kapde pehenana, haathi ko godh mein jhulana aur tumse sach bulwana asambhav hai Narendra Modi.”

Earlier in the day, while addressing a rally in Raebareli, Sidhu repeated Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s challenge to PM Modi for a debate on Rafale jet deal and asserted that he would leave politics if the Gandhi scion loses it.

“Narendra Damodardas Modi, you debate with Rahul Bhai on Rafale jet deal in any part of the country. You can call him at your home. I will leave politics if Rahul Bhai loses the debate.”

The Congress leader said that BJP has not fulfilled its promises made in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

“Modi has ruined farmers, the youth and the poor of India. He has not fulfilled what he promised five years ago. Modi has only benefitted the rich one per cent of the country,” he said.

Sidhu also took a dig at the PM for his alleged failure to prevent the fraudsters from fleeing the country.
