This picture of youth wearing ISIS t-shirts was not taken after polling in Kerala

Polling for 2019 Lok Sabha elections was held in Kerala on April 23, 2019. After the polling was done, a picture started surfing on the internet that was claimed to be taken after the voting.

The caption read- “ये कल केरल में हुए मतदान की बाद की फोटो है। isis की t-shirt पहने ये लोग किस मानसिकता हैं साफ दिखाई दे रहा है।
कांग्रेस को जिताने का मतलब भारत को इस्लामिक स्टेट बनाना है।”

(Translation- This is the photo after the polling in Kerala yesterday. The mentality of these people wearing a t-shirt of ISIS is clearly visible. Putting Congress in power means making India an Islamic state)

FACT CHECK

Team of fact-checkers at NewsMobile checked the viral picture and found that the claim attached to the photo is FAKE.

On putting the image through Reverse Image Search, we found the original picture on ‘The Hindu’.
The photo was taken on August 4, 2014, in Tamil Nadu. A group of 26 Muslim clicked photos sporting black T-shirts with the emblem of the ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and al-Shams) in front of a mosque at the coastal town of Thondi in Ramanathapuram district.
The above information proves that the claim is FAKE and the post shouldn’t be shared.
