No! IAF pilot Abhinandan is not campaigning for ex-BSF jawan Tej Bahadur

Date:

Yet another post about wing-commander Abhinandan Varthaman is going viral on social media.

This time, the post claims that the IAF pilot will be campaigning for ex-BSF jawan Tej Bahadur.

FACT CHECK

When we fact-checked the claim, we found out that it was fake.

Tej Bahadur, who was sacked from service after he uploaded a video complaining of bad quality food being served to the force said that he will be contesting polls against PM Modi in Varanasi.

However, the claim of wing-commander Abhinandan campaigning for Tej Bahadur is false.

According to Election Commission guidelines, government employees need to remain impartial and should also be seen independent, neutral and impartial all matters relating to the elections and that they should treat all parties and candidates equally, fairly and justly.

This proves that the above post is fake and should not be shared.
