Sit on my lap if you are feeling hot: Cabbie misbehaves with woman passenger

In what could be a shocking and a shameful incident, a Delhi based journalist accused an Uber driver of making lewd comments and misbehaving with her.

Amrita Das shared her ordeal and called for action against the driver.

Das revealed that while she was with her husband when the incident took place when she asked the driver to turn on the AC.

‘Rude and creepy driver. I demand action. First, he refused to turn on the air conditioner, then says garmi lag rahi hai to aage mere godi me baith jao (If you are feeling hot then come and sit on my lap),” Das tweeted.

“He also ended the trip, moments after starting to drive and forced me out. This is when I was with husband,’ she added.

Responding to the incident, Uber Support said, “We’re so sorry to hear about this. Our team has recently responded via email. Please reply there if you have additional questions!”

This is not the first time that reports of drivers of online cab services misbehaviour came into light and the authorities should take strict actions.
