Relationships are sometimes complex, but other times simple. As much as things depend on your partner, they also depend on how well you are aware and prepared to face any highs and lows.
Here is a list of pointers you need to keep in mind before falling in love:
‘Perfect partner’ is a myth
If you have an idea and a checklist of a perfect partner then you must realize that there is no perfect partner. You need to be comfortable and respect each other and there can be scope for minor adjustments.
Nothing worth having comes easy
Love and all relationships require effort and an immense amount of work. Things are easier in the beginning as everything is new and it takes more effort in time. Both partners need to make constant efforts for a relationship to remain balanced.

Deal with annoying habits
Since nobody is perfect, there will be habits or quirks exist and it may not always be rosy. Maybe there will be some habits that you won’t like and things can be worked upon and dealt with. All you need is to understand that not everything can work according to you and you have to adjust. You may have an OCD about being clean and your partner is messy, or you might be pro-active while your partner prefers to procrastinate.
Love versus reality
Before one falls in love, they are surrounded by the idea of love which overpowers you. The love stories and films spoil us to think that it is a fairytale and everything is hunky dory. But as the relationship grows and you become comfortable, your eyes open to new realities and you learn many new things about one another. For most people, these new realities become a habit they want to stay with and for others, they become a learning lesson to move on in life.
You don’t always need to be partying to have a great time
The comfort level increases when never-ending conversations turn into meaningful silences. If you can spend time just sitting with each other in silence and doing nothing much, then you know it is a solid relationship.
