Fact Checked: Don’t believe this tweet by Priyanka Gandhi’s FAKE twitter handle

A screenshot of a tweet has been making rounds on social media which is attributed to newly appointed Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi.

In the tweet dated February 3rd, 2019 is taking a dig at the government when different leaders of the government visited Prayagraj for the Kumbh.

The tweet read: “भारत मूर्खो का देश है जहा सरकार लोगो के पीने के पानी पर नहीं बल्कि ढोंगी और पाखंडियो के साही स्नानं पे करोड़ो का खर्च करती है”

Translation: India is a country of idiocy, where the government spends millions of crores of rupees on the drinking water of the people, but not the creeps and pawns.

NewsMobile closely fact-checked the tweet we found that the above text was not tweeted by Priyanka Gandhi.

First of all the above twitter handle (@PriyankagaINC) does not belong to Priyanka Gandhi as her verified twitter handle is @priyankagandhi.

Moreover, the date of the viral tweet is February 3rd but Priyanka Gandhi joined Twitter on February 11th, 2019 and she tweeted for the first time on March 12th, 2019.

Hence, it is clear that the screenshot of the tweet attributed to Priyanka Gandhi is FAKE and misleading.
