FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile fact-checked the claim, we came to the conclusion that the above claim is FAKE.

It’s true that Syed Salahudeen contested elections but not on a Congress ticket.

When we dug about Salahudeen’s political career, we found that his full name is Syed Mohammed Yusuf Shah who started his political career in 1987 when he contested J&K assembly election on the ticket of the Muslim United Front.

So it is clear that Salahudeen had no linkages with the Congress party.
