Cobrapost’s Operation Karaoke: Celebs caught on camera taking bribes to promote political parties

In a shocking expose by Cobrapost, more than three dozen celebrities were caught on camera agreeing to take cash in return for promoting political parties on their social media handles. The celebrities included actors, musicians, comedians, and other artists. The sting operation was titled ‘Operation Karaoke’ and exposed big names of the industry getting indulged in unethical practices.

Many celebrities were approached with hidden cameras and the ones who agreed to be a part of this foul practice were as follows -Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Kailash Kher, Mika Singh, Baba Sehgal.

 

 

 

 


Actors like Vivek Oberoi, Jackie Shroff, Shakti Kapoor, Sonu Sood, Amisha Patel, Mahima Chaudhry, Puneet Issar, Surendra Pal, Shreyas Talpade, Pankaj Dheer, Nikitin Dheer, Tisca Chopra, Rohit Roy, Deepshikha Nagpal, Akhilendra Mishra, Rahul Bhat, Salim Zaidi, Rakhi Sawant, Aman Verma, Hiten Tejwani, his wife Gauri Pradhan, Evelyn Sharma, Minissha Lamba, Koena Mitra, Poonam Pandey and Sunny Leone also agreed to promote in exchange of cash.

 


Comedians like Raju Srivastava, Sunil Pal, Rajpal Yadav, Upasana Singh, Krushna Abhishek, and Vijay Ishwarlal Pawar also got caught on camera. Choreographers Ganesh Acharya and Sambhavana Seth also made the list.

There were other celebrities who refused to accept the offer are Vidya Balan, Arshad Warsi, Raza Murad, and Saumya Tandon.

 

The price ranged from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 50 lakh per post. They even agreed to accept the money in cash, essentially meaning black money. This is one of the biggest expose ahead of elections.
