Watch trailer: Nawazuddin-Sanya bond over a ‘Photograph’

Ritesh Batra is back with his new film ‘Photograph’ after his critically acclaimed film ‘The Lunchbox’. The trailer has been released which shows the character of Nawaz who works as a photographer on the Gateway of India in Mumbai meets a shy stranger played by Sanya Malhotra and forms an unlikely bond.

The trailer shows a struggling photographer, Nawaz who takes a photograph of Sanya’s character, Miloni when they first meet at the Gateway of India. He convinces Miloni to pose as his fiancee as his grandmother is pushing him to marry which results in them forming a connection. The trailer has the feeling that transports you back to the time of ‘The Lunchbox’ with similar colour tone, shots and an underlying emptiness that transcends from the characters.

‘Photograph’ premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was also part of the Berlin International Film Festival.

The film also stars Vijay Raaz and Jim Sarbh in pivotal roles and will release on March 15, 2019.
