Shraddha has done really well: Saina Nehwal on her biopic

Date:

Saina Nehwal’s biopic titled ‘Saina’ went on floors in September 2018. The film will be directed by Amol Gupte and stars Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role.

The badminton player is looking forward to the movie and says Kapoor has worked hard on the project, reported PTI. “I am looking forward to the film. The script is lovely. As far as I have seen Shraddha preparing for it, she has done really well. I am waiting for it. It is taking some time to complete. But I am sure it is turning out well,” Saina told PTI.

“If there is a biopic on a sportsperson, I am the first one to go and watch it because it motivates me a lot. I am sure people would like to know my story as well” she said.

Nehwal, who recently won the Indonesian Masters, had walked the ramped for designer Vaani Raghupathy Vivek’s new collection “Magnoliaa” at Lakme Fashion Week 2019.

The sports star looked regal in a heavily embellished bright yellow lehenga as she walked down the runway on February 1. “I want to thank Vaani for giving me this opportunity. People are used to seeing me on court so it was a good change for them also.” Saina told PTI while calling it a wonderful experience.

Saina is the second sportsperson after wrestler Geeta Phogat to turn showstopper at the Lakme Fashion Week.

Shraddha Kapoor was last seen in the 2018 blockbuster hit ‘Stree’ opposite Rajkumar Rao.
