Earthquake hits Afghanistan-Pakistan region, tremors felt in Kashmir valley, Delhi-NCR

A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan on Saturday evening, the Indian Meteorological Department reported.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said the epicentre of the quake was Hindu Kush, which is a mountain range that stretches near the Afghan-Pakistan border, from central Afghanistan to northern Pakistan. The tremors in Delhi-NCR lasted for 40-50 seconds

Indonesia’s National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) said there were no immediate reports of damage and that there was no potential for tsunami, the report said.
