An Army Major and a rifleman were martyred in an IED blast at Naushera sector in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday evening.
The attack, reportedly conducted by Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT), left several soldiers injured. This is the second attack by Pakistan’s BAT team on Indian troops in last 24 hours.

The incident occurred at 3 pm when IED planted near the LoC exploded leaving two soldiers grievously injured. They were immediately rushed to the hospital where both of them succumbed.
In another incident of unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops in Sunderbani Sector, an Army porter named Hemraj was shot at and critically injured. He was provided immediate resuscitation and medical aid; however, he later succumbed to the gunshot wounds.
Meanwhile, a grenade attack was launched at Lal Chowk in Srinagar, Kashmir on Friday. . The grenade was lobbed in Lal Chowk Palladium Gali.
