A video is going viral on social media from the Isha Ambani wedding of top Bollywood stars serving food at the Ambani wedding we Fact checked this.

What is the truth

The video is genuine they were indeed serving food but what is not true is that they charged Ambani’s for serving food.

The real story

In traditional Gujarati families and many family weddings, as per a tradition ‘sajjan ghot’ it is a matter of honour for relatives and close friends of the bride’s family to serve food to the guests from groom’s side and close family and friends were seen doing it and those included the Ambani family relatives and some Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan.

In fact, Abhishek Bachchan replied to a tweet asking about why Bollywood stars were serving food at Ambani wedding.

“It is a tradition called “sajjan ghot”. The brides family feeds the grooms family,” Abhishek Bachchan tweeted.
