The first underwater museum in India is set to be built in Puducherry to increase the rate of tourism.
The INS Cuddalore will be converted into an underwater museum, according to leading reports. Within a time-frame of 30 years, the minesweeper has travelled 30,000 nautical miles. It will function is a seabed 7 kilometres off the Puducherry coast and the depth of the ship will be 26 metres.

It will have facilities for scuba divers and snorkellers to indulge in water sports. The credit of this museum goes to the Indian Navy for agreeing to provide the vessel for tourism in the Union Territory.

Water buoys will also be deployed on the sea surface and boat rides will also be available for tourists in the 29-metre tall mast of the ship.
