Oz beat India by four-runs; lead three-match series by 1-0

Brisbane: Though rain tried to play spoiler in the first T20 between Australia and India, the game finally managed to happen with innings reduced to 17-overs.

Winning the toss, India put Australia into the pads and hosts managed to 158-runs on the board losing four-wickets. From Oz side, Maxwell was the maximum run scorer with 46-runs before Jasprit Bumrah sent him back to the pavilion.

With DLS method India’s target was revised to 174-runs in 17-over. Chasing the target the visitors left cut short of just 4-runs at the end of 17-overs putting 169-runs on the board losing seven-wickets.

FRom Indian batting line-up, opener Shikhar Dhawan’s 76-run knock gave a good start to the team but constant fall of the wicket from the other end prevented momentum and but the end of 17-over India was left four-runs behind the target.

In the bowling department, Kuldeep Yadav was leading wicket-taker with two-wickets while Khaleel Ahmed and Bumhra took one wicket each.
