According to the latest reports by the International Society of Women Airline Pilots (ISA+21), India, not just ace in the percentage of women pilots but its percentage is, in fact, more than double the global average.

The latest data suggest that currently, only 5.4% commercial pilot in the world are women. Surprisingly, the percentage of female pilots in Indian airlines is 12.4%.
Of the 8,797 airline pilots in India, 1,092 are women and 385 of these captains, the report states.

Delhi-based regional airline Zoom Air has emerged as a winner with nine female pilots out of a total of 30. However, IndiGo, SpiceJet, Jet Airways are some big names that topped the chart with 13.9%, 13.2%, 12.4% of female pilots respectively.
