Leonardo DiCaprio speaks out on air pollution

One of the major global environmental concern in present times is the rise in air pollution across the globe.

According to the recent WHO report, around 93% (1.8 billion children) of the world’s children under the age of 15 years breath toxic air that is extremely injurious to their health.

The same report mentions that 600,000 children died of respiratory infections caused due to air pollution in 2016.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Hollywood actor and an environmentalist took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the issue. He tweeted, “It is unacceptable that in 2018, 7,000,000 people will die prematurely due to air pollution. It’s time for our leaders to clean up our air and protect our health.”
