Kapil Sharma is set to marry his girlfriend Ginni Chatrath; here are full details

Wedding season seems to have begun in the tinsel town as days after Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced their wedding date, actor-comedian Kapil Sharma is reportedly all set to tie the knot with his girlfriend Ginni Chatrath on December 12 this year.

If reports are to believed, the wedding function will be organized in Jalandhar, which is Ginni’s hometown, following which the pair will host a grand reception in Mumbai on December 14. The actor-comedian reportedly wanted to have a private wedding with close associates but Ginni’s family want a full-fledged bash since she is the only daughter of the family.

Kapil who introduced his girlfriend Ginni to the internet last year, further stated that he wanted to let his fans and media know about his wedding but has kept mum to promote Punjabi film ‘Son Of Manjeet Singh’ with which Kapil will make his debut in Punjabi films as a producer. Talking about the pre-wedding vibes, Sharma further stated that more than him, his mother is happy about the impending wedding. He said the happiness he sees on his mother’s face makes him feel special.

Kapil Sharma gained fame in the entertainment industry with his TV show ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ in 2013. However, the show came to an end as he broke his ties with the makers. Later, Kapil moved to another channel where he hosted a similar show, titled ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ (in 2016), for which he retained most of his previous cast.

Kapil has been drawn into several controversies owing to his fight with ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ co-star Sunil Grover. The known to be good friends reportedly had a huge fight following which Grove vowed not to work with Kapil and broke all collaborations. As per media reports, he was also moved to rehab owing to alcoholism.

Kapil Sharma made his Bollywood debut in 2015 comedy drama ‘Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon’ which also starred Arbaaz Khan, Sai Lokur, Manjari Fadnis, Elli Avram, Simran Kaur Mundi, and Varun Sharma. The Abbas-Mustan directorial produced by Adesh Randwa faired well at the box office. He has also appeared in another film ‘Firangi’ along with Ishita Dutta, Monica Gill and Inaamulhaq. The film was helmed by Rajiv Dhingra and produced by Kapil Sharma under the banner of his K9 Films.
