Kamal Nath tweets Bangladesh’s picture to slam Shivraj Singh led MP government

Date:

Political parties are all set to lock horns as election season has begun in five states. In a bid to campaign no opposition party leave any opportunity to slam the government and so did former Minister of Urban Development and Congress’ Kamal Nath who slammed the Shivraj Singh Chouhan led MP government by tweeting an image of a man rolling up on an asphalt road like a laid out carpet, which proves the road work to be of very low quality.

He tweeted –

“मामा जी के राज में भ्रष्टाचारी रास्तों की लगी है झड़ी, और वाॅशिंगटन से अच्छी मख़मली सड़क कर लो घड़ी। भजपा के सामने भ्रष्टाचार के सारे रिकॉर्ड लजाते हैं , मामाजी जाते जाते तथाकथित विकास को घड़ी कर साथ लिए जाते हैं । बढ़िया है। #वक़्त_है_बदलाव_का”

Translation: “In the reign of Mama ji, the corrupt paths have started to flutter, and make a good velvety road from Washington to the watch. In front of Bhajpa, all the records of corruption are shameful, the so-called development of the mamaji is taken together with the clock”

FACT CHECK

Before tweeting the picture Kamal Nath seems to have forgotten to fact-check the picture as the above picture is not from MP but from Bangladesh.

When NewsMobile fact-checked the picture tweeted by Kamal Nath we found out that the picture was from Bangladesh as we came across several posts from Bangladeshi news portals.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took a jibe at the Congress leader recalling former Digvijay Singh’s tweet about a flyover which was actually from Rawalpindi.

Interestingly, political commentator Gaurav Pradhan used the same picture to slam Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in July 2016.
