After a series of delays, the cruise from Mumbai to Goa named Angriya has finally opened its bookings for the first voyage scheduled for October 24. However, if you are already about to book your tickets, these are a few things you need to know.
Schedule of the cruise
The departure of the cruise will be from the Purple Gate at Princess Docks on October 24 at 4.00 PM and arrive at the Mormugao port in South Goa at 9.00 AM the next day. The same schedule will be offered from Goa to Mumbai.
Prices and inclusions
The price of the rooms starts at Rs. 8250 per person which the top-tier option, however, the one with an attached washroom is subject to availability. Bunk rooms are for four people to share and can be booked at a price of Rs. 7700 per person attached with windows but no washrooms. There are luxury pods that are for single or double occupancy available at Rs. 6650 per person without windows or attached washrooms. Dorms are the lowest category of accommodation at the price of Rs. 6300 per person. The ticket cost of any category includes all the meals including evening snacks, lunch and dinner.
Permissions and prohibitions
Pregnant women after six months of pregnancy and infants below 12 years, pets, and disabled (till proper facilities are in place for them) will not be allowed on the cruise.
Baggage rules
25kg baggage is allowed to be checked in and you can carry 10kg of hand baggage which is slightly more than any domestic flight.
Other features
Though there is no Wi-Fi connectivity on the cruise, there would be internet connectivity subject to the mobile network. For smokers, there are designated smoking zones, and the crew members are trained enough to help in case of a medical emergency and provide first aid. You can, however, carry your own medicines, but if you are carrying syrups, only sealed bottles are allowed.
