Nana Patekar breaks silence on the allegations by Tanushree Dutta

Tanushree Dutta on Tuesday spoke about the sexual harassment that she experienced in Bollywood. Talking about the #MeToo campaign which was trending on Twitter after which hundreds of girls stood up against the harassment they faced.

Tanushree Dutta opened up about a 10 year old controversy, saying that she was harassed by the Horn Ok Pleassss actor, Nana Patekar. In an interview with Zoom TV she said that however everyone knew about the harassment nobody took any action.

“Everyone knows about Nana Patekar that he has always been disrespectful towards women. People in the industry know about his background… that he has beaten actresses, he has molested them, his behaviour with women has always been crude but no publication has printed anything about it,” she told Zoom TV.

In his first response, Nana Patekar told Times Now that he is considering legal action and claimed support from the film unit present at the time. “What do you mean sexual harassment? There were 50-100 people on the set with me,” Patekar said, adding, “Will see what I can do legally. It’s a waste talking (to media), you guys will play up anything.”  “People can say whatever they want to say, I will keep doing my work,” he added.

In the press conference of ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, veteran actors like Amitabh Bachchan, said “Neither am I Tanushree, nor am I Nana Patekar, so how can I comment on this?” said the ‘Sholay’ star during a press conference. However Aamir Khan gave a diplomatic answer. The film will be released on November 8th.

Tanushree Dutta has featured in films like Aashiq Banaya AapneDholRiskand Good Boy, Bad Boy. She was last seen in 2010 film Apartment.
