A 25-year-old woman on Thursday night was stabbed more than 38 times in Indore’s, Sanghi Colony said the police. The accused, Kamlesh Sahu was arrested for allegedly murdering Supriya Jain. Police rushed Jain to the nearest hospital. She was declared dead on Friday.

MIG police station inspector T Qazi said Kamlesh Sahu and Supriya Jain were schoolmates in Sagar district. Kamlesh proposed Supriya around six years back, but she refused.

Sahu then slit his wrist and made Jain say yes to his proposal and soon after the incident Supriya went to Indore to complete her studies. Six months back, Kamlesh traced her back and proposed her again to which she said no. Qazi said around seven days back he decided to kill her and was waiting for an opportunity.
