Will Kerala superstar Mohanlal be BJP’s candidate?

New Delhi: Kerala superstar Mohanlal on Monday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital.

Following the meeting, speculation is rife that Mohan Lal may be fielded from Thiruvananthapuram against Shashi Tharoor the sitting Congress MP from the constituency.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday tweeted about his meeting with Mohanlal, “Yesterday, I had a wonderful meeting with @Mohanlal Ji. His humility is endearing. His wide range of social service initiatives are commendable and extremely inspiring.”

Meanwhile, Mohanlal wrote on his Facebook page that he met the PM on the auspicious day of Janmashtami. He further wrote that during the meet, he briefed him about ViswaSanthi Foundation and the multifaceted social initiatives taken by it. “He has assured all support and offered to participate in the Global Malayalee Round table that can formulate futuristic solutions for a New Kerala. Hon. PMO India has also appreciated our vision to set up a Cancer care centre under ViswaSanthi Foundation to cater to the needs of the under-privileged.”
