Nurses take selfie with Nandamuri Harikrishna’s body; get sacked

In what could be seen as a shameful act the nursing staff at Kamineni hospital that treated former Telugu Desam Party parliamentarian Nandamuri Harikrishna took a selfie with his corpse who died in a road accident at Anneparthi village on Wednesday morning.

The nurses of Telangana hospital have been sacked after they took pictures with the body. Authorities of the hospital at Narketpalli in Nalgonda district said the four hospital staffers including a male nurse, were terminated from service on the grounds of “insensitivity”.

A couple of the staffers could be seen smiling in the photograph, which was posted on a WhatsApp group.

“It is an unfortunate incident. We deeply regret the insensitivity shown by our staff. As soon as it came to our notice, we served them termination letters,” said Kamineni Hospitals official spokesperson Venkat Bharadwaj.
