Jinson Johnson wins Gold by reaching the finishing line with a timing of 3:44.72 seconds, in the same race Manjit Singh finished at the 4th place with a finishing time of 3.46.57 in 1500m final. Johnson sprinted past Iran’s Amir Moradi and Bahrain’s Tiouali Mohamed to seal the gold.

Johnson also finished at the second place clinching gold in the 800m track event on Tuesday. Earlier on Thursday, P Unnikrishnan Chitra bagged bronze medal in 1500m track event. Chitra finished third in the 1500m event with a timing of 4:12.56 seconds, behind Bahrain’s Kalkidan Befkadu and Tigist Belay.

Earlier in the day Seema Punia also won Bronze medal in the discus throw with an effort of 62.26m, while the Indian Men’s Hockey team lost to Malaysia in the semi-finals with a score of 6-7.
