India will play England in the 4th Test Match at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton, England. After two humiliating defeats last month, India bounced back with a spectacular 203 run win thanks to Virat Kohli’s century, and an amazing bowling spell by star all rounder Hardik Pandya.
Now, with just two test matches left in the series, India will look to level up against England when they play in Southampton at 15:30 IST, on August 30. Early reports suggest that Captain Kohli will play with the same team as last time, in order to capitalise on their momentum.
There were doubts about the availability of spin bowler Ravi Ashwin, who was recovering from a hip injury, but the veteran player has confirmed that he will be available for selection. “Everyone is fit to start tomorrow. Ashwin has recovered nicely. He had a good practice session yesterday. He is good to go.” said Kohli, in an interview.
Meanwhile, all rounder Moeen Ali and lethal fast bowler Sam Curran will be back for England. After a stunning display in a county cricket match, Ali was called back for national service, and will replace youngster Ollie Pope, who made his test debut just days ago. Chris Woakes, the star all rounder who destroyed India’s bowling attack, has been benched due to an injury.
With a sunny forecast, and a nice green pitch, this match is sure to be an absolute thriller. Both sides will fight hard to win-India, to keep themselves in the reckoning for the cup, and England, who will seek to seize the series.
