Cautious markets end marginally lower; Sensex at 38,690.10, at 11,676.80

Date:

The stock market ended marginally lower on Thursday with the 30-share BSE Sensex closing 32.83 points lower at 38,690.10 and the broader Nifty closed 15.1 points lower at 11,676.80.

The sentiment was cautious ahead of the derivatives expiry for August and weak global cues. A weak rupee and rising crude oil prices also fuelled the downtrend.

Globally, markets held back on concerns that China may be left behind as the United States reaches trade agreements with other North American countries and Europe.
