Trent Bridge: Skipper Virat Kohli has become the second-most successful Test captain after thrashing England by 203-runs in the third test in Nottingham on Wednesday.
Kohli surpassed Sourav Ganguly’s tally of 21 Test wins. Notably, only MS Dhoni has led India to more Test victories (27) than Kohli.
India had set a target of 520-runs with Kohli’s 58th international ton.
In the bowling department, Bhumra’s five-wicket haul helped India to go 1-2 in the five-match series.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli has been the man of the match and in a generous gesture, Kohli has donated the whole sum of his match fee for the victims of the Kerala floods.
Meanwhile, in England’s first innings, all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s five-wicket haul restricted England at 161-runs.
In the second innings, India put 329-runs on the board setting a target of 520-runs for England. Chasing the target the English batting line-up collapsed at 317-runs before they lost their last wicket in the first session of Day 5.
