In France, one of the biggest historical theme parks has trained crows to pick trash. Six crows have been deployed to clean the premises.
The park named Puy du Fou in the western part of France is where the birds collect cigarette bits along with other litter. Once the litter is collected, it is dropped into a small box and once the garbage is dropped in it, some bird food is delivered to the crows as a reward. This activity began on Monday.
The head of the park, Nicolas de Villiers explained the idea behind this and that is to show to the people that nature itself can teach humans to take care of the environment. The goal was not just to keep the area clean.
Rooks, a member of the crow family including ravens and jackdaws and intelligent birds and can communicate with humans effectively and maintain a great relationship with them.
