UP school paint classrooms as train, names it ‘Swachhata Express’

Date:

A government-run school in Firozabad district has come up with an innovative idea, the classrooms of the school looks like train coaches. The freshly painted school has been named the ‘Swachhata Express’ by the district administration and it’s aim is to spread awareness of PM Modi’s ‘Swachhata Abhiyan’ amongst students.

The walls of the classrooms are painted with red colour and about 170 students study between Class 1 and 8 here and the school has only eight teachers.

“We have been trying to make education more attractive for our students. So we thought of modifying the building to resemble a train on a platform. We named it Swachhta Express to spread the message of cleanliness among the children,” said Neha Sharma, District Magistrate of Firozabad.

The UP government has said that 10 more schools in Firozabad will be designed in the same way and the design will be expanded to more schools later.

“People from my village came to see my school. It really looks like a train. I love going to school, but this makes it even more exciting,” said Shivru, a Class 7 student. Keep up the good spirit UP government.
