After becoming the joint-fastest in Women’s T20s, Indian skipper Smriti Mandhana continues her way as she hit 12 boundaries and four sixes to become the first Indian Women cricketer to score a 100 in T20.
Guiding her team Western Storm to overwhelm Lancashire Thunder by seven wickets in Kia Women’s T20 Super League encounter, Mandhana smashed 102 off 61 balls in Manchester on Friday.

According to reports, the young skipper after the match said “The way I am batting is pleasing me more than the scores. I have been timing the ball really well, so I am delighted with that.”
The left-handed opener, who was already top-scorer in the competition with a total of 282 in 5 innings (48,37,52*,43*,102) now averages 94 in the competition. Mandhana has also emerged as the top run-getter and third straight Player Of The Match in the tournament.
Meanwhile national team caption Harmanpreet Kaur failed to open her account for Thunders.
