Nifty ends above 11,250 for the first time, Sensex claims another peak

The Nifty 50 ended 111.05 points higher at an all-time high of 11,278.35 on Friday. The 30-share BSE Sensex claimed another peak, hitting a record high for the fourth consecutive day and closed 352.21 points up at 37,336.85, as shares of ITC,  Indian Oil, Tata Motors, Hindalco Industries and Titan, closed with advances of around 3-5 per cent each.

Reliance Industries and ICICI also gained ahead of earnings announcements. There was sustained capital inflows and first-quarter earnings boosted investor sentiment amid mixed global cues.
