‘Can become CM in a minute’, says Hema Malini

Date:

The dream girl of India, politician-actor Hema Malini said that she can be the chief minister in a minute if she wants to but is not very keen.

‘I am not too keen. If I want to I can become that in a minute, but I don’t like to be tied up,’  the actor said on being asked if she wants to be the CM.

69-year-old lawmaker from Uttar Pradesh made it clear that she would rather be free to pursue other interests. ‘My freedom of movement will end,’ she said while talking to media in Rajasthan’s Banswara city.

She said she got to become an MP because of her film career. ‘I am known mainly because of my name in Bollywood, call it ‘dream girl’ or Hema Malini,’ she added.

Calling her Mathura constituency as the `nagri’ of Krishna, she said she loved working for the ‘Brijwasi’ people.

Praising  Prime Minister Narendra Modi, she said ‘It is difficult to find a prime minister like him. Leaders of other parties may say anything but we need to see who has done more work for the country.’

Hema Malini debuted in parliament in 2003 when she was nominated to the Rajya Sabha by the Atal Behari Vajpayee government. She had campaigned for BJP candidates in the past too but formally joined the party only in 2004.
