Two terrorists killed in an encounter in J&K’s Anantnag district

Two terrorists have been gunned down in the encounter with security personnel, which started in Anantnag this morning. The encounter has concluded, combing operation is underway. The terrorists are yet to be identified.

No casualties have been reported so far.

On Tuesday, an army man was killed and two others sustained bullet injuries after terrorists attacked the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) party at Srinagar’s Batmaloo area.

In recent months, the state has witnessed a huge spurt in terror activities. On Sunday, three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were gunned down in an encounter in Wani Mohalla area of Kulgam’s Khudwani.

On July 13, one CRPF personnel was killed and another seriously injured in a terrorist attack in Anantnag’s Sheer Pora.
