Check out the release date of Balasaheb Thackeray’s Biopic ‘Thackeray’

The release date of the awaited biopic ‘Thackerey’, based on the life of Balasaheb Thackerey, who was one of the most iconic politician and founder of Shiv Sena. Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui will play the lead role in the movie and the movie will hit the silver screens on 23rd January 2019, which is Balasaheb Thackeray’s 92nd birthday.

Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share a picture of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, Dr. Shrikant Bhasi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui from the set of ‘Thackeray’. He captioned the post announcing that Carnival Motion Pictures had come on board to co-produce the biopic of the Shiv Sena supremo.

Taran went on to caption the picture as, “Carnival Motion Pictures join hands with Sanjay Raut to co-produce #Thackeray… Stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui… Directed by Abhijit Panse… Produced by Sanjay Raut and Dr Shrikant Bhasi… Will release on Balasaheb’s birth anniversary – 23 Jan 2019.”

There have been shocking resemblances between Nawazuddin and Balasaheb Thackeray n terms of their looks. The makers are making the most of the prosthetic technology to make the ‘Paan Singh Tomar’ actor look like the founder of Shiv Sena. A picture of the ‘Badlapur’ actor broke the internet when he had put up a picture of himself in the Shiv Sena supremo’s look in December last year.

Carnival Motion Pictures has joined hands with Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut to co-produce the much-awaited biopic. The movie directed by Abhijit Panse is based on the life of the Shiv Sena supremo and will hit the theatres on 23rd January 2019 in honor of Balasaheb Thackeray.
