It’s 2018, but both, men and women face stereotypical comments. One such couple is breaking the stereotype about men who are home-makers and the couple is none other than the Prime Minister of New Zeland Jacinda Ardern and her husband who became proud parents of a newborn baby girl on June 21, 2018. Jacinda Adern becomes the first world leader to give a birth to a baby while in the office.
The most important thing is that when PM Jacinda will rejoin her office, her husband a TV host will leave his job, stay at home and look after their baby.
According to this Facebook post, “2 days after the baby was born – with midwives, standard in NZ hospitals – she introduced her to the country during a press conference on the nightly news. It was really lovely. She named her Neve Te Aroha. Te Aroha means ‘The Love’ in Maori. It represents ALL the names that were submitted (upon her request) from various tribes throughout the country and was her attempt at capturing them all. “
