Breaking all the odds, Angela Ponce was crowned as Miss Universe Spain and is the first transgender to have won the title. She will now go forward to compete in the Miss Universe pageant which will happen by the end of this year.

This started long back in 2012 when Jenna Talackova, a Canadian model fought a legal battle and was then allowed to compete in Miss Universe, Canada back when Donald Trump joined the pageant.
However, she was later disqualified for being a transgender, but because of her brilliant legal win, various transgender women came forward to compete in Miss Universe from 2013.
She further captioned the post as “Bringing the name and colours of Spain before the universe is my great dream. My goal is to be a spokesperson for a message of inclusion, respect, and diversity not only for the LGBTQ+ community but also for the entire world.”
