Sensex sheds 219 points, Nifty falls below 10,800 on global cues

The 30-share BSE Sensex shed 219.25 point to end at 35,470.35 on Monday while the Nifty50 ended 59.40 points down at 10,762.45, on concerns of global trade war between US and major world economies.

The Trump administration could impose curbs on Chinese investment in US technology companies and high-tech exports to China, according to reports. Oil prices declined by more than 2% early as Opec and Russia agreed on a modest increase in production.
