Trump signs an order to keep families together

Date:

Donald Trump signed an order on Wednesday for keeping families at the US-Mexico border together after the backlash over his policy of separating parents from their kids.

The order has also been passed for other agencies to find places to provide shelter to families together. According to President Trump, the order is about keeping families together and at the same time being sure that the US-Mexico border is very powerful and strong.

All details of the executive order were worked out between the White House, Justice Department and Department of Homeland Security.

The order was signed the day after Donald Trump defended his policy of keeping parents and their kids who illegally cross the Southern US-Mexico border. He also said that he does not want to separate families but if the prosecution for parents crossing the border illegally has to be done, the kids need to be taken away to put a ban to it.

These statements were delivered at the 75th anniversary celebration of the National Federation of Independent Businesses.

According to media reports, around 2000 children were separated from their parents between April and May when Trump announced his new administration policy. The foreign minister of Mexico termed the policy as ‘cruel and inhuman’.
