The protest by the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal and his colleagues Manish Sisodia, Gopal Rai and Satyendar Jain, at Delhi Lt Governor Anil Baijal’s office entered the eighth day on Monday. The day begins on the back of a protest march by the AAP leaders and part workers on Sunday which was stopped midway and the babus upping the ante by denying charges levelled by Delhi government.

The AAP party leaders have been on a sit-in dharna at the official residence of Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal since June 11. The strike was called to demand a direction to the IAS officers working under the Delhi administration to end their ‘undeclared strike’, among other demands.

Moreover, Delhi minister, Satyendra Jain who has been on a hunger strike was admited to the hospital on Sunday night though his condition is stable, informed Dr JS Passey on Monday.

He complained of headache, nausea, and breathing problems on Sunday.
On Sunday, a group of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers held a rare press briefing to deny charges levelled by the AAP, cited concerns about their security and said they have been “targeted and victimised” for political gains. Kejriwal directly responded to the press conference by the officers, promising them security and seeking full cooperation.
