Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the fourth meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Sunday.
The Council is tasked discuss the implementation of key policies relating to various sectors today. The PM in a Saturday tweet said “Looking forward to the 4th Governing Council meeting of @NITIAayog tomorrow. Implementation of key policies relating to a wide range of sectors will be discussed during the meeting.”

The council is tasked with evolving a shared vision of national development priorities, sectors, and strategies with the active involvement of States in shaping the development narrative. Chief ministers of many states including West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka are in Delhi to attend the meeting.

- The major issues on the agenda are doubling farmers’ income; progress of flagship schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, National Nutrition Mission, and Mission Indradhanush; development of aspirational districts and celebration of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
