May 22 marks a very special occasion for Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and wife Gauri Khan. Today, the couple’s only daughter, Suhana Khan, turns 18, and the Khan family has an unforgettable celebration planned for her milestone moment.
Mom Gauri gave the world a sneak peek at what’s coming up on her daughter’s big day last night with a picture-perfect Instagram post. The interior designer shared a pretty snapshot of Suhana Khan, and captioned it saying, “Gearing up for a birthday bash… Thanks @karanjohar.”
It’s no secret that Johar is one of Suhana’s god parents, and has a track record of hosting extravagant parties. Pictures of Johar flying out to New York have already been seen on Instagram, where Suhana is said to be currently attending summer school.
Dressed in an ivory tie-up ensemble and sporting a bold red lip, Suhana Khan looks all grown up in the brand new Instagram post—the image has been shot by one of Bollywood’s favourite photographers, Avinash Gowariker.
Within a few hours, the picture has received more than 2,00,000 likes, and has got fans wondering if Suhana will join India’s film industry soon. Just last year, a clip of the then 17-year-old confidently playing Cinderella in a school play took over the internet, and had everyone including Shabana Azmi, taking note of Suhana’s knack for theatre. But the one thing that Shah Rukh Khan has always stood by is his decision to make sure his kids complete their education before considering a career in films.
